Cellulite: Natural Solution
So what Cellulite Solution are you following?
In the winter it is hidden – out of sight out of mind. But in the summer it’s on show. If you have it, you’re probably very conscious of it. Some 85%-98% of post-pubescent females have some degree of cellulite. Women throughout Europe spend millions of euros of their hard-earned money on the latest cellulite banishing cream or lotion, anxiously trying to diminish the lumpy, bumpy – cottage cheese skin. If the magic doesn’t work, the next step is to go for more invasive therapy such as mesotherapy, endermologie, liposuction and laser treatment. We also read endless magazine features on the subject, – about how diet plays a huge part in the eradication of cellulite along with avoidance of external toxins, washed down with a good dose of water. In the winter it’s
But let’s look at cellulite a little closer. Firstly it is not weight related; women of all shapes and sizes can have cellulite. Men can get it too, but guess what? It’s rare in men. Could it be due to Yin and Yang? Yes it is. The cause is that the subcutaneous tissue, (that’s the tissue just below the skin), differs between men and women, and in cellulite this particular tissue structure is disturbed. The corium being one of the layers, is thinner in women than in men. Unfortunately, it gets progressively thinner and looser with age, as does the connective tissue found between the fat cells. What happens next? The fat can move to the surface unhindered. As if that wasn’t enough- there’s more!
Impaired circulation and a poor lymphatic clearance appears to compound the condition, along with excess free radicals, hormonal imbalances, lack of exercise, toxin build-up and poor digestion. This starts to show why cellulite is so difficult to diminish. But don’t give up, because a lot of the causes go hand in hand. For instance, insufficient circulation and lymphatic clearance would account for the reduction of the body’s abilities to eliminate toxin build up, free radicals and excess hormones. Lack of exercise can affect the digestive process and have a negative influence on circulation. Simply put, exercise, balanced diet and hydration is what is needed – I know you’ve heard that so many times before and however “good” you have been your thighs are just the same. If that was the whole story, why is it that some sportswomen get cellulite even though they are particular with their diet? Dr Howard Murad the author of “The Cellulite Solution” believes that there is one important link that we are all missing.
He explains that it is not the amount of fat and water in the body, but how we treat the fat and water. During many years of research in the field, Dr Murad has developed the water principal. With age, the cells of our body lose the ability to hold water efficiently and therefore drinking lots of water has very little benefit. It’s like having a container with a hole in it and the water just flowing through. Even worse the water can remain between the tissues of the body, swelling your ankles or puffing your eyelids. “This dehydration and deterioration of cells can be due to simple dietary deficiency of vital cell hydrating nutrients” says Murad. By strengthening the structure of the subcutaneous tissue, the fat molecules remain in place, where they are supposed to be. The strengthened cells become hydrated, leaving the skin smooth and “cottage cheese free”.
The Cellulite Solution describes in easy terms the process by which and why cellulite appears. Following the week-by-week “three tier programme” of cell repair, rehydration and revitalisation the matrix of the cells become stronger. By taking the recommended daily supplements, making some simple dietary and lifestyle changes, the results, says Dr Murad, will be amazing.
